Despite the weather around a dozen people turned out to take part in the second annual Phoenix Cup on Sunday 11th September 2011.

The event took place on the Crinan Canal and as with last year there was just one rule… it had to be legal.

Top prize, the Phoenix Shield, went to Amy McDonald who is pictured sheltering from the rain with her prize.

Well done to all who braved the elements and congratulations to Amy. We would also like to pass our thanks onto  British Waterways who gave permission for the competition and to Fyne Tackle for sponsoring the event.  Finally thanks to Jack Kay for providing shelter for the prize giving.
