The first ever Lochgilphead Phoenix Raft Race took place on Saturday 18 June 2011.  The two heat race went along the Front Green between the Corran and the Flag Pole.  The victors and proud holders of the Phoenix Shield were the crew of the HMS Plantyard  from the Mid Argyll Rugby Club with their catamaran style raft.

Commiserations to the crew of the Floating Tank, better luck next year.
